Deciding to become a virtual assistant is such an exciting time! There are so many new things to learn, decisions to make, and people to connect with. You’re building the foundations for your business and stepping into the role you’ve been dreaming about!

My Story

When I first decided to become a virtual assistant, I was full of the exact same excitement! I always knew I wanted to own my own business, so it was such an amazing feeling to be making that dream into a reality. The only thing that got in my way though… Was me. I considered working with a coach, but I was honestly afraid of making that initial investment. What if it didn’t work? What if I fail, would it have all been a waste? Can’t I just figure it all out on my own?

I carried around so much confidence and enthusiasm about starting my business, but below the surface, I felt afraid of taking a big leap and investing in a coach (and indirectly, myself!). I would spend hours upon hours trying to figure things out, piece together freebies, and I watched endless hours of YouTube tutorials. It’s no wonder I never left my laptop and felt burnout coming on before I had even started!

Once I finally decided enough was enough and invested in myself and a coach, that was when things really began to transform.

I don’t tell you my story for pity or anything, but just to let you know that I know how you may be feeling as you begin establishing your VA business. It isn’t easy, by any stretch! This is why I’ve made it my mission to help new VA’s set up successful, sustainable businesses. As your coach and mentor, I’ve been in your shoes and I know that you want a business you love just as much as I did (and still do!).

So today’s post is written to you, and to the past version of myself, to let you know that investing can be scary, but it can be incredibly worth it. Let’s go!

Sustainable Growth

By working with someone who has already walked the path you’re on, you have the advantage of their first-hand experience! In my coaching program, I have included every stop along the path, making sure that my clients will have all of the knowledge and resources they need to set up their VA business successfully.

Everything from deciding on packages, ideal clients, branding, social media marketing, systems, and so much more, because all of these things together create the big, overall picture that is your business!

Working with a coach who has been in your shoes can help to eliminate so much guesswork! Both big and small questions can sometimes cause us to stall for longer than we’d like, but when you’ve got a coach at your side, you can get those questions answered and continue moving forward. With weekly coaching calls and daily Voxer support, you quite literally have a coach in your back pocket who can answer your questions or help you to find the answers within yourself.

Connection

Did you know that working with a coach can help you to find future clients? Chances are, your coach will have an established network of business owners in their inner circle. Networking online works almost the same as in person, the more people you know, the more opportunities you may be exposed to! Coaches can help to be great entry points into the industry, especially if you don’t know any others yet!

Not only that, but entrepreneurship can feel a bit lonely at first. By having someone who is already in the industry on your side, the road may feel less lonely! There are only so many things your friends or family may understand when you’re having a tough (or amazing) day in owning an online business. It definitely helps to have connections who are in the same circle as you, who can understand the highs and lows you are going through!

One of the hardest things for me when I first started was accepting outside help. I didn’t have to do it all alone, and neither do you. Having someone to connect with, who knows the industry will make those hard days a little easier and it will help you to get through them powerfully!

Transformation

When you are working with a virtual assistant coach, there is always some kind of transformation you’re working towards. In my 1:1 program, we focus on building your business by setting strong foundations. The foundations are so important for long-term success, which is why we start from the ground and work our way up so that you can have a long-lasting business that you love.

Of course, for a transformation to take place, it isn’t just the responsibility of your coach! For many new entrepreneurs, investing in a coach is totally new and can feel a bit scary (investment-wise)! But that is part of the transformation, too.

By investing in a coach, you are also investing in yourself. Not just with money, but with your time and energy, too. Real transformations aren’t bought with money, they come from you taking the right steps, making aligned decisions, and showing up for yourself continuously! This is all part of the larger transformation going on here. By showing up for yourself monetarily, you’re also more likely to show up for yourself with action too!

You’re not alone!

Whether you are waiting for all of the answers to fall into your lap, or you’re putting in a crazy amount of hours going down Google rabbit holes trying to find answers to your questions, I want you to ask yourself if it is the best use of your time. From personal experience, if I could go back, I would tell myself that it was okay to ask for help. It is okay to invest in help.

Working with a VA coach is more than just having someone tell you what to do to start your business. I am here to support you on your journey to building a sustainable business, answer your questions, and be your biggest cheerleader every day. Investing time, money, and energy into a coach means investing in your business and your future success.
